Advantages and Disadvantages of Injection Level Gauge

Submersible Level TransmitterGenerally, the piezoresistive effect of diffused silicon or ceramic sensitive elements is used to convert static pressure into electrical signals, and then temperature compensation and linear correction are performed. Convert to 4-20mADC standard current signal output.

The submersible level gauge is a hydrostatic level measurement. In liquid media, the pressure generated at a certain depth is generated by the weight of the medium above the measuring point. It is proportional to the density of the medium and the local acceleration due to gravity. Therefore, the physical quantity measured by the input level meter is actually pressure, which can also be known through the calibration unit of the level meter. The actual liquid level needs to be obtained through conversion after knowing the two parameters of density and gravity acceleration. This conversion is usually completed by secondary instruments or PLC at the industrial site.

The submersible level gauge is placed directly into the liquid, and the transmitter part can be fixed with a flange or bracket, making it very convenient to install and use.

The advantages of submersible level gauges mainly include:

1. Good stability and high precision;

2. The input-type liquid level meter is directly placed into the medium to be measured, which is very convenient to install and use;

3. Integrated structure design, anti-blocking design, simple installation, convenient use, strong interchangeability, high-quality liquid level meter with high sensitivity, fast response speed, can accurately reflect subtle changes in flowing or static liquid level, and has high measurement accuracy.

4. Solid structure, no moving parts, high reliability and long service life. High-precision measurements can be made from water, oil to high-viscosity pastes, and the wide-range temperature compensation is not affected by the foaming, deposition and electrical characteristics of the measured medium.

The disadvantages of the input level meter are: the measurement signal needs to be converted; it cannot measure the temperature of high-temperature media exceeding 125°C; the density of the measurement medium must be uniform. These points also limit its scope of use.
