Electromagnetic flow meter is a commonly used flow measurement instrument. Its wiring method will affect the use effect and accuracy of the instrument. Generally speaking,There are two wiring methods for electromagnetic flow meter: two-wire system and four-wire system.
Two-wire wiring method
The two-wire wiring method is simple and requires fewer wiring cables. It is often used in remote signal transmission situations. The wiring method is as follows:
(1) Line 1 is the electrode signal line, connected to the No. 1 electrode terminal of the electromagnetic flow meter;
(2) Wire 2 is the ground wire, connected to the No. 2 electrode terminal of the electromagnetic flow meter and the ground terminal of the meter housing.
The two-wire wiring method can only output electrode signals and cannot provide power, so an external power supply is required during use.
Four-wire wiring method
The four-wire wiring method is more complicated, but it can provide more accurate voltage and current signals and is suitable for occasions with higher requirements. The wiring method is as follows:
(1) Line 1 is the electrode signal line, connected to the No. 1 electrode terminal of the electromagnetic flow meter;
(2) Line 2 is the positive power line, connected to the positive power terminal of the electromagnetic flow meter;
(3) Line 3 is the negative power line, connected to the negative terminal of the power supply of the electromagnetic flow meter;
(4) Wire 4 is the ground wire, connected to the No. 2 electrode terminal of the electromagnetic flow meter and the ground terminal of the meter housing.
The four-wire wiring method can provide electrode signals and power at the same time, so no external power supply is required when using it.
It should be noted that when wiring, you must carefully read the wiring instructions of the instrument and perform wiring in strict accordance with the instructions to avoid unnecessary losses caused by wiring errors in the electromagnetic flow meter. At the same time, during the wiring process, attention should also be paid to keeping the instrument and its surroundings clean and dry to avoid the impact of pollution and moisture on the instrument.
During the wiring process of the electromagnetic flow meter, some problems may occur, which may affect the measurement accuracy and stability of the electromagnetic flow meter. Here are someCommon electromagnetic flow meter wiring problems and their solutions or precautions:
Loose wiring
If the wiring of the electromagnetic flow meter is loose, the measurement accuracy may be inaccurate or the measurement may not be possible at all. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that the connectors are tight when wiring, and use appropriate tools to properly strengthen the fixation.
Wiring error
If the wiring sequence or connector position of the electromagnetic flow meter is wrong, it will also lead to inaccurate or impossible measurement. Before wiring, you need to read the wiring diagram and wiring instructions carefully and confirm that the wiring is correct.
Poor ground connection
A poor ground connection of the electromagnetic flow meter may cause electromagnetic interference or distortion of the measurement signal. Therefore, when wiring, you need to ensure that the ground wire is well connected and the cross-sectional area of the ground wire cannot be too small.
Poor power supply stability
Poor power supply stability may also cause the measurement signal of the electromagnetic flow meter to be unstable. When wiring, you need to choose a stable power supply and minimize power supply voltage fluctuations and interference.
Cable interference
The signal line of the electromagnetic flow meter may be interfered by other cables, thus affecting the stability of the measurement signal. When wiring, it is necessary to separate the electromagnetic flow meter signal line from other cables, and use shielded cables or add a magnetic shield to reduce interference.
Grounding problem
If the grounding of the electromagnetic flow meter is poor, it may cause electromagnetic interference or electrical failure. When wiring, ensure that the electromagnetic flow meter is well grounded and avoid confusion with the ground wires of other devices.
In general, during the wiring process of the electromagnetic flow meter, it is necessary to carefully read the wiring diagram and wiring instructions to ensure that the wiring is correct and firm, and to minimize the possibility of interference and failure. If you encounter problems, you should contact the after-sales service team or manufacturer in time to obtain professional technical support and help.
