6. gear flow meter
A gear flow meter is a mechanical flow meter typically used to measure the volumetric flow of low viscosity liquids. The working principle of the gear flow meter is based on the relative motion between the gears and the change in the size of the tooth gap. When liquid flows through the gear flow meter, the gear will rotate and push the liquid toward the outlet. The pressure from the outlet will push the gear back to its original position. The speed of liquid flowing through the gear flow meter will affect the rotation speed of the gear, thus reflecting the volumetric flow rate of the liquid.
Gear flow meters usually consist of two intermeshing gears and a counter. When liquid flows through the gear flow meter, the gear will rotate at a certain speed. The counter will measure the rotational speed of the gear and calculate the volumetric flow rate of the liquid based on a preset algorithm. Gear flow meters have the advantages of simple structure, small size, and high accuracy, and are widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, lubricants, pharmaceuticals and other fields.
7. gas ultrasonic flow meter
The gas ultrasonic flow meter measures the flow rate of gas by utilizing the relationship between the speed and direction of ultrasonic wave propagation in the fluid medium and the fluid flow rate. Compared with traditional flow meters, gas ultrasonic flow meters have the advantages of high accuracy, strong reliability, and are not easily affected by fluid properties.
Gas ultrasonic flow meter are divided into three types: single-channel, dual-channel and four-channel. The single-channel gas ultrasonic flow meter is suitable for the flow measurement of a single fluid medium; the dual-channel gas ultrasonic flow meter is suitable for the flow measurement of two fluid media; the four-channel gas ultrasonic flow meter is suitable for the flow measurement of multiple fluid media.
The measurement principle of the gas ultrasonic flow meter is to measure the flow rate of gas through the relationship between the propagation speed and direction of ultrasonic waves in the fluid medium and the gas flow rate. When gas flows through a pipe equipped with an ultrasonic sensor, the sensor emits ultrasonic waves downstream. The propagation speed of ultrasonic waves is affected by the gas flow rate. When the gas flow rate increases, the propagation speed of ultrasonic waves will also increase accordingly. The ultrasonic sensor emits ultrasonic waves upstream. The speed and direction of ultrasonic waves propagating in the gas are related to the flow rate of the fluid. Since the change in ultrasonic wave propagation speed can reflect the change in gas flow rate, the gas flow rate can be calculated by measuring the change in ultrasonic wave propagation speed.
The advantages of gas ultrasonic flow meters are high measurement accuracy, strong reliability, and not easily affected by gas properties. However, its price is relatively high and its scope of application is limited.
