ultrasonic level gauge installation principle

Ultrasonic sensor is a sensor developed through the characteristics of ultrasonic waves. It has the advantages of accurate measurement, wide detection range, quick operation, and intuitive guarantee. Today, I will explain the principle and structure of ultrasonic wave liquid level sensor, and I hope it will be of great help to everyone.

When the ultrasonic liquid level meter is working, the transducer (probe) emits low-frequency pulse sound waves. When the measured object (water surface) is reflected, the reflected echo is received by the same transducer (probe) and converted into an electrical signal. The time between pulse emission and reception (the travel time of the sound wave) is proportional to the distance from the transducer to the object surface. The relationship between sound wave propagation distance s, propagation speed C and propagation time t is: s=cxt2.

Ultrasound is a mechanical wave that vibrates at a lower frequency than sound waves. It is the vibration caused by the energy conversion chip being stimulated by voltage. It has the characteristics of low frequency, short wavelength, large diffraction phenomenon, especially good directivity and directional dispersion of light. Ultrasonic waves penetrate liquids and solids very poorly, especially in uneven solids like sunlight, where they can penetrate as shallow as tens of meters. When ultrasound recognizes impurities or interfaces, it causes significant reflections and creates echoes.

When it recognizes a moving object, it causes the Doppler effect. Therefore, ultrasonic detection has widespread applications in industry, national defense, biomedicine and other fields. It is appropriate to cause and take over ultrasound.

The device that builds this functionality is an ultrasonic sensor, often called an ultrasonic sensor or ultrasonic sensor.

The composition of ultrasonic liquid level sensor

. Low-power ultrasonic sensors are mainly used for detection. It has many different structures, including straight sensors (longitudinal waves), oblique probes (transverse waves), surface wave sensors (surface waves), Lamb wave sensors (Lamb waves), dual sensors (one sensor scattering, one sensor taking over), etc. The core of an ultrasonic sensor is a piezoelectric chip embedded in a plastic or metal layer. There are many types of materials that make up chips. Chip dimensions such as diameter and thickness also vary, so the performance of each sensor also varies. Its performance must be understood in advance after adoption.

ultrasonic level gauge installation

When installing an ultrasonic liquid level meter, the blind area of the ultrasonic liquid level meter must be considered.

When the liquid level enters the blind zone, the ultrasonic transmitter cannot measure the liquid level. Therefore, when determining the measuring range of the ultrasonic level meter, a margin of 50 cm must be left.

When installed, the transmitter probe must be approximately 50 cm above the maximum liquid level. This ensures accurate monitoring of liquid level and the safety of the ultrasonic liquid level meter.

During actual use, due to improper installation considerations, the liquid level gauge was submerged in water, causing the liquid level gauge to be completely damaged.
