In daily use, wet saturated steam two-phase flow meters are used more and more frequently, but the higher the frequency of use, the higher the frequency of faults.
During normal use, if there is a problem with the instrument, we will anxiously wait for the maintenance personnel to check and repair it, but for example: if the maintenance personnel cannot repair it, we may need to contact the manufacturer's technicians.
If we can simply understand the problems of daily wet saturated steam two-phase flow meters in our daily work, we can reduce the downtime of the instrument and avoid the delay of a large amount of work.
Next, we will cover common troubleshooting for wet saturated steam two-phase flow measurements.
Instrument troubleshooting methods
(1) If the wet saturated steam two-phase flow meter is instrument faulty and the indicated value of the flow control instrument system reaches the minimum value, first check the on-site detection instrument. Normally, the wet saturated steam two-phase flow meter is within the display instrument.
(2) When the indication of the on-site detection instrument is also the minimum value, check the opening of the regulating valve. If the opening of the regulating valve is zero, it is usually a fault between the regulating valve and the regulator.
(3) When the on-site detection instrument indicates the minimum and the regulating valve opening is normal, the failure may be caused by insufficient system pressure, system pipeline blockage, insufficient pump capacity, medium crystallization, improper operation, etc.
Instrument troubleshooting methods
The causes of failure of different flow meters are different. The orifice differential pressure flow meter may be blocked by the positive pressure conduit; the differential pressure transmitter may leak from the positive pressure chamber; the mechanical flow meter may be blocked by gears or filters, etc.
(1) When the indicated value of the flow control instrument system reaches the maximum value, the detection instrument often displays the maximum value. At this point, the remote control valve can be opened or closed manually. If the flow rate can be reduced, it is generally caused by process operations.
(2) If the flow value cannot be reduced, it is caused by the instrument system. Check whether the regulating valve of the flow control instrument system operates; check whether the instrument measuring pressure system is normal; check whether the instrument signal transmission system is normal.
(3) The flow control instrument system's indication fluctuates frequently and can be switched to manual mode. If the fluctuation decreases, it is caused by improper instrument or instrument control parameters. If fluctuations are still frequent, it is caused by process operations. This is a brief introduction to the problems of wet saturated steam two-phase flow meter in daily life. We hope to help you use wet saturated steam two-phase flow meter to reduce work costs and improve work efficiency!
