Thermal gas mass flow meter principle
The two temperature sensors are placed front and back according to the direction of air flow. While the front temperature sensor measures the current temperature of the compressed air, the rear sensor is electrically heated to a temperature 40K higher than the first sensor. As the flow rate increases, the temperature difference between the two sensors drops faster, so the second sensor's electric heater must increase its heat output to maintain a constant temperature difference. The electrical energy required to maintain the temperature difference is directly proportional to the volumetric flow rate. Energy consumption is converted into corresponding flow measurement values. Based on these measured values and the inner diameter of the pipe, the FTW-1600 gas mass flow meter can accurately calculate the volumetric flow rate.
