TT-14 Bimetal Thermostat

There are three main types:

- With SPST normally open electrical contacts
- With SPST normally closed electrical contacts
- With SPDT three-way switching electrical contacts

- Normally open version in Figure 1In this case, the contacts are open, that is, there is no current flowing when the temperature is lower than the temperature. After the temperature reaches the set value, the electrical contacts close.

- Figure 2 shows a thermostat with normally closed electrical contacts when the temperature is below zero. In fact, we see that when the temperature is below 1, the electrical contacts close and there is a signal on the outer contact. After the temperature reaches the set value, the electrical contacts are disconnected and the signal stops.

- In the changeover contact version of Figure 3, the temperature of the liquid on the diverter determines the changeover of the microswitch. In this latest version, normally closed, normally open electrical contacts or both can be used without distinction.
